Unit 7: Topic Actitivites

I´ve wondering myself many times if I prefer the city or the country. For a long time I thought my asnwer was the city but my answer changed when I started to work in Colina. This is a place like a town in some areas because it has many places like little villages, animales like horñiudsh . and cows, people plow and grow vegetables. I ´ve learned to appreciate this things. But also, Colinaalso has a part of city, in the center you can find many banks, big stores, drugstores and even custumes stores ( lots of them).
So, after this experience I can´t decide between the city or the town I think I need a mixture of them and I could find that mixture in Colina. For me it doesn´t matter if Colina is away of Santiago because you can take a bus and arrive in 30 minutes. I spend less time going to Colina than going to Providencia or some other place into Santiago

Writing: A letter for complaint August 13

Dear Sir or Madam,

I´m writing to express my dissatisfaction with the excursion to Brighton Marina Coaches. On february 21st I saw a fantastic anouncement which promised lot of services that you haven´t done and I want the refund.

First of all, the supermarket was really crowded and to find something interesting to buy we had to wait for hours because there weren´t enought shop assistants and when we finally got something interesting after three hours we had to follow waiting in the longest queues to pay. But that´s not all, when was already my turn I couldn´t pay because the guide said that we had to move to another place and the adverticement said we will spend the afternoon in Boulogne and not just three hours.

To make matters worse, I was wondering all the time what happend with the air- conditioned and refresdhments because we had to but our water and bought some fan because the weather was really hot. It was supposed the restaurants will be open but the closed when we got there and that was the reason because we had to move to another place and we finally arrived home after 11:3o pm.

As you can imagine, I am rather disappointd with the service you offered. I trust you will refund me the money and please don´t give me more matters or I will go to talk with the manager of your agency.

A day of Quizzez August 11

1. I really like the quiz, because firstable I didn´t understand the main object to do something like that but then ( at the end) I thought " I should follow each steps, follow instructions and never read the lastest questions before do the first ones.

2. While I was reading the article I might realize that I´m a little bit shopaholic. I need to buy new earrings all the time, in fact I have thousand of earrings with different sizes, colours, etc.
The article says that the most of the time shopaholics are women but I desagree with that because I know many men that are always buying things "uselessness things". For example, my Dad bought a vacuum cleaner which was very expensive, it was gold colour and he bought it because it was similar to the gold ( the metal), of course we haven´t used it because it´s too beautiful!.
So, my advices are: PLEASE ! don´t use credit cards ( I must elimite them). Always buy a couple of things but for month and not every day and finally, try to don´t buy things wich you will never use.
